What happens now

Three things, in this order

  1. We check the property

    We pull the official title from the Land Registry and check what similar homes nearby have actually sold for.

  2. We call you to talk it through

    At the time you asked for. We'll go through how we got to the figure, and answer anything you want to ask about the sale.

  3. You get it in writing

    In the format the grant application needs. If HMRC ever query the figure, we deal with that too - it is not handed back to you.

There is nothing you need to prepare and nobody needs to come to the house to get started. If we do need to see it at some point, we will agree that with you on the call.
